The tiny island of Jamaica of 4,411square miles, has experienced significantly higher than normal levels of rainfall dumped on it over the past 24 or so hours.  In St. Catherine, for instance some 10 inches of rain fell in a 12 hours period.

The Light and Power company is reporting  that at press time some 5, 000 customers have been restored to full service.  Some twelve thousand (12,000) (customers) are still without power.

Conversion

The Bogue Power Plant was seen as a low hanging fruit, pregnant for attention or delivery. Kelly Tomblin an American lawyer & journalist has been doing a great job since arriving in Jamaica to head the local Power Company.  She is an American national.

St. Thomas

The eastern Parish of St.  Thomas, Jamaica W.I., has been badly hit  by the rains and power outages.  Roads are badly scoured and are flooded resembling river beds.

Vision wishes Ms. Kelly Tomblin all the success in her future endeavours.
