NASSAU, Bahamas _ A judge in the Bahamas has denied bail to a woman accused of fatally stabbing her husband, a well-known podiatrist from Australia.

An official with the Bahamas Supreme Court said by phone that Donna Vasyli appeared in court Thursday. She previously pleaded not guilty to murdering Phillip Vasyli.

His body was found March 24 at the couple’s upscale home in New Providence Island. Police have not released a motive.

Phillip Vasyli established three podiatry clinics in Sydney and later founded an orthotic footwear company that sells products in the U.S., the United Kingdom and elsewhere.
