A Humanitarian Crisis

At least two Journalists detained in Bangladesh trying to get to the truth re plight of Rohingya Muslims fleeing Myanmar, a predominantly Buddhist religious sect. Some 600,000 are believed to have crossed from Myanmar to Bangladesh to refugee camps.

Commentary

Women and infants seen on the move. It touches hearts to see the dislocation. This is not only an apparent religious/ethnic cleansing but a humanitarian crisis of enormous proportions.

Will Special Ambassador Canadian Bob Rae be allowed to go to Rakhine State?

We must await his findings which may be made public. We hope the powers at be releases the whole truth.

Is Aung San Suu  Kyi’s office powerless to stem the atrocities or are they the instigators?

Land mines are also obstacles to crossing from Myanmar to Bangladesh for journalists to unearth the truth.
