“BASH” BUG THREATENING COMPUTERS

NEW YORK (AP) _ It sounds more like a video game character than a menace. But computer experts are warning that the “Bash” bug may be a serious threat to your computer or other device. The Department of Homeland Security has issued a warning about the vulnerability to the Bash bug _ saying it may pose a threat to computers and other devices that use Unix-based operating systems such as Linux (LIHN’-uhks) and the Macintosh OS X. But experts are divided over whether Bash may prove more potent than the “Heartbleed” computer security flaw discovered earlier this year. One security company says while Bash “looks pretty awful” at first _ hackers won’t be able to exploit most systems running the affected Bash
