Be You Be True  2nd Annual Benefit School Concert

Queens, NY (MPR Consulting) – January 23rd was a night full of laughter, music and hope at the “Be You, Be True” school benefit concert in Queens, NY. Sponsored by Pepsi and Preparatory Academy For Writers i the event was geared to young people as an outlet to stress the importance of education and the arts.

Executive Music producer Nigel Angus reflected on his second annual event with pride “I loved every moment of the be you be true event just seeing everyone on set behind the scenes smiling and having fun made my day especially when we gave away the 40inch TV to the young lady who won the Top 10 throwback dance competition. We are prepping for the next be you be true set for June this will 2x a year every year we will do this event due to everyone loving the idea and concept we have for the event as for now Im currently gearing up to promote my first Compilation Album Titled “Eleven“”

Headline by dancehall and reggae star Future Fambo, the event also featured Palm Tree Flow Records K-Starr, Shain Wong, Nevadaless, Kadeem Nichols, LadyAnnty, Pyro and Skerrit Bwoy.

Event planner Jessica Brown noted “It was an honor to be apart of such a wonderful event.  This event is only the start of what this team is working on.  Encouraging the youth, stressing the importance of education, and showing students of all ages with a little determination and drive anything you put your mind to, you can accomplish.”

The proceeds of “Be you, Be True” Benefit Concert will be donated to both Preparatory Academy For Writers and to a school in Jamaica.

The event was indeed an overall rewarding success by all involved “I worked along side the team and seeing all the hard work put into the concert and witnessing it come to life was amazing!  i will continue to work hard and do whatever it takes to follow my dreams” –  Jourdan Phillip
