Brampton’s award winning, internationally touring, Hip Hop artist David Record will be Premiering his new film the “Under Moonlight Documentary”. The film will play at the Brampton Cineplex Odeon on Thursday March 24, 2016 at 8pm. The premier follows a National Canadian Tour David Record has been on, which continues into the end of 2016

“Under Moonlight Documentary” is a behind the scenes look at his touring career and lifestyle within the music. A small portion of the film was released to generate interest and Mega rap super star 50 Cent’s official website (thisis50.com) picked it up as well as Record’s latest music video “Closer” and posted it on January 25, 2016. This is a major nod to Record’s career. The Documentary is a 40 min film and was produced by Rise Again Entertainment Inc. which is the Record Company founded by David Record. The film was shot and directed by Brampton based film company Taylor Made Productions. The musical score was created by Justar Bless, who has produced for multiplatinum selling acts along with David Record’s previous successful song “Submit To Me”, which received rotation on Much Music in Canada and Chanel AKA in the UK

The Documentary is said to be extremely inspirational and educational. It features Herb Carnegie who was a prominent black Canadian hockey player in the NHL who faced racial discrimination which prevented him from playing for the Maple Leafs. David Record wrote the theme song for Herb Carnegie’s foundation Future Aces. It also touches light on Record’s views on the importance of education, being that Record was a student at MetalWorks Institute, where he studied Entertainment Business Management which helped his music career flourish immensely. Along with substance it is graspingly entertaining.

This documentary is definitely a reflection of how David Record has been constantly rising in his career. He has collaborated with Grammy and Juno award winning artists on multiple songs such as “I Got Time” and “You are Everything” off his Rise Again Album. He has filmed a commercial with superstar Drake for the MTV Video Music Awards. Record received the “Arts Acclaimed Citizens Award” from the city of Brampton, where he was honoured by the city’s former Mayor Susan Fennel for his accomplishments in 2014. His last concert in 2015 was a sold out event in the city of Brampton at the Howard Johnson Hotel. The concert brought Canadian celebrity appearances from Juno Award winning Kwajo, president of G7 Records, a Label under Universal Music Canada and artist in rap group Ghetto Concept. Tickets were sold at $40 and fans came from all across the GTA.

The Screening is a catered, red carpet event open to all media. Tickets for the event must be reserved by Friday March 18th, 2016. Please visit David Record’s website at www.davidrecordmusic.com for more details leading up to this event.
