Comedy Show to help save Hope Botanical Gardens

This Weekend’s staging of the Johnny LIVE Comedy Bar Special showcase, which will take place at the Shell Band Stand in Hope Gardens, has committed to assist the venue with its massive maintenance project with part proceeds of the profits of the event.

The Hope Botanical Gardens is ramping up the initiative to save this large lush green space especially during times of drought here in Jamaica. Consistent maintenance and cleaning of the popular property is quite costly and so partnering with events like the Johnny LIVE Comedy Bar Special to assist with these expenses is a smart move.

Comedian Chris Johnny Daley, CEO of the Johnny LIVE Comedy Bar brand, also sees this partnership as giving back to a space that he has a more personal connection to as a young actor and comedian.

The Shell Band Stand is the space that hosted Miss Lou with her Ring Ding series many years ago and I myself have done many cultural performances on that stage from I was a child. This is a dream come true for me to be able to partner with the Hope Gardens to give back to a space with a deep cultural effect,” Chris explained

The Johnny LIVE Comedy Bar Special, while presenting a US based comedian in BET and ABC stand-up comedy series performer Drew Thomas, also seeks to highlight the competence and talent of our own Jamaican acts.

The Comedy Bar special this Sunday is a way for Jamaicans to help maintain this beautiful space called the Hope Botanical Gardens and also to really see how fantastic our Jamaican Comedians are, comedians like myself from Jamaica have been dominating the world comedy stage and our own country needs to come out and support us on the local platform, ” Chris added

The Johnny LIVE Comedy Bar Special will be staged as an experience with exclusive seating and bar service, as well as a stellar lineup to include; Dahlia Harris, Michael V and Chis ’The Entertainer’ Larmond, it will be hosted by popular comedian Ity Ellis.

Prospective patrons can get tickets to the event at Golden Closet in the Village Mall and online at CaribTix.com.
