After delivering a scintillating performance last Thursday at Caribfest 2015, held at the North Western University, Chicago, where he thrilled the large blend of North American and West Indian fans, dancehall recording artiste Demarco is back on local soil and continues to make major strides on the international scene.

The multi-award winning deejay is the latest member of the dancehall fraternity to be featured on world-renowned electronic music group Major Lazer’s latest album.

Dubbed ‘Major Lazer selects! Classic + new dancehall and reggae selects’, the project features a cadre of handpicked hits composed by some the biggest names across the Caribbean diaspora including Buju Banton, Super Cat, Vybz Kartel, Chronixx, Machel Montano, Bunji Garlin, Demarco and others.

“Major Lazer has shown the world that, when it comes to musical genres, there are no boundaries or limits, and, therefore, to be featured on their album is always a good thing because it exposes not just you as an artiste but your music to audiences that would traditionally not listen to your work,” Demarco said.

The album features 54 tracks and is available for purchase on iTunes, Spotify and other digital platforms.

Meanwhile, despite not taking home an award following his double nominations for ‘Song of the Year’ (Good Book) and, ‘Male Deejay of the Year’ at the recently concluded Star Awards held on the Waterfront, downtown Kingston, Demarco gave an impacting performance to the hundred who attended last Saturday.

The entertainer is promoting his latest video for So We Stay, produced by Damage Musiq, singles, Instructions, Celebrate My Life and Money Money Money.
