EXCO LEVI, REGGAE ON EGLINTON & GETS HIS STAR ON WALK OF FAME

Exco Levi will host his birthday over three nights at the intimate Sankofa (1653 Eglinton Avenue West at Oakwood) in Toronto on June 3, 4 and 5.

Billed as REGGAE ON EGLINTON, the three-night celebration will feature musical performances and DJs. Kicking off on Friday is Roots Night. Roots and culture DJs: African Star, DJ Chocolate, Noble Works and XIXGON will spin from when doors open at 8:30 PM.

Night two is Saturday Night Live – Exco Levi and his band HighPriest will take the stage. Also celebrating with Exco, is JUNO nominee Ammoye and Chester Miller with Hard Core Band.
Night three is Dancehall Jam with performances by Dancehall Don Eyesus, Fire Lion and Don Dem. Selectors spin all night between performances.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.

The City of Brampton announced that Exco Levi is one of four artists to be inducted into the City of Brampton Arts Walk of Fame. The Arts Walk of Fame has honoured 11 artists since its inception in 2014. Other world class inductees include actor Alan Thicke and Comedian Russell Peters. The city created the program to celebrate local artists by recognizing those who have had distinguished careers in the arts. Levi will be honoured as a Performing Arts, Singer, Songwriter on September 24th, 2016. The Brampton Arts Walk of Fame is located at Garden Square in down town Brampton.

2016 is off to a great start for Exco Levi, the 4 time JUNO award winner whose career continues to grow.

In February Exco Levi was nominated for a JUNO Award in the Reggae Recording of the Year category for his single “HELLO MAMA”; this was his 5th consecutive JUNO nomination.

EXCO LEVI’s haunting and humbling track “ONE SUIT” will be featured in the Television Series Private Eyes, starring Jason Priestley. The series is based off the novel The Code by Canadian Author G.B Joyce.

As the summer weather rolls in Levi will pulse the stages of Harbourfront Centre, Dundas Square in Toronto, JAMBANA™ One World Festival in Markham and the Seattle International Reggae Festival.
