Hillary Clinton 69, the fallen, concedes graciously. The former popular aspirant for the White House lost in a sometimes acrimonious contest to business tycoon Donald Trump, 70.

Hillary congratulated president-elect Donald Trump by phone overnight and then at a press conference today. The defeated presidential candidate who easily got the Democratic nomination on a canter was being favoured to win in a close contest according to polls, for the White House.

Years Of Public Service

The former Senator, Secretary Of State, and lawyer also thanked the many volunteers and appealed to all to support Donald Trump the president-elect. Hillary also praised the greatness of America for its strong democratic traditions. She has over thirty years of dedicated public service. Trump has always been in business.

Popular Vote

Both candidates got an equal amount of the popular vote of 48 percent each nationally. Independents and third parties got the rest.

Voter Intimidation

There were claims of voter intimidation and alleged manipulation of the voting machinery. In certain instances where voter ID was not a requirement to vote the powers at be were insisting on same … effectively disenfranchising many … many of whom are of colour.

Voting Administration

Traditionally, Republicans control the voting administration in many States. This may have somewhat negatively impacted the results. Without a forensic audit it is difficult if not virtually impossible to conclude that these mishaps could have changed the composition of who resides in the White House as tenants.

Democracy, American style needs surgery, it appears. Fear is not a good bedfellow of the democratic process. This fear and mistrust can only consummate bad blood among classes and citizens generally.
