Sports All-Star pitcher CC Sabathia joins the ‘familia.’

Roc Nation Sports continues to make moves. A little more than a month after Hov helped orchestrate the third-most lucrative contract in baseball history for Robinson Cano, the rapper-turned-sports agent signed Cano’s former New York Yankees teammate CC Sabathia.

The deal was announcedon Twitter Thursday night, when the official Roc Nation account sent out a pic of the All-Star pitcher and the superstar rapper sitting at a table putting the ink on their contract. “Welcome @CC_Sabathia to the @RocNation family! #RocNationSports,” read the Tweet.

CC tweeted the same pic with the caption: “La Familia.”

Sabathia is currently has three years remaining on his contract with the Yanks, so it will be some time before Jay can negotiate a new deal for the pitcher, but he will represent CC off the field as well. With Roc Nation’s help, it’s a safe bet that Sabathia will add on to his list of big-time endorsements which already has included deals with Pepsi, Subway and Jordan Brand.

In December, Hov helped Robinson Cano structure a mega-deal with the Seattle Mariners, which is worth a whopping $240 million. The move was big for Roc Nation, who looks to solidify itself in the sports world. In less than a year, RNS has signed on an impressive list of clients which includes NBA All-Star forward Kevin Durant, New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz and New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith; Sabathia only bolsters the roster.

After breaking the news of the Cano deal on December 6, ESPN writer Enrique Rojas told MTV News that he’s impressed with the moves that Jay has made in the sports world. “I think it’s too early to say that Jay Z will be a good agent or a great agent, but definitely this is a very good start for him… and he has a good company,” he said.
