Spotted recently at the Best of the Best music and food festival in Miami, Florida, comedian Rohan Gunter said he is making strides since migrating to the United States.

The comedian was the first winner of the National Comedy Buss competition. He hosts a show on Florida’s Flexx FM, along with DJ TC, and is booked for comedy shows.

He was a cast member in the popular US competition, ‘Lauderhill Got Talent’. However, this time around, he was placed third.

“I didn’t win but the organisers ended up hosting a comedy show in the mall on which I was also featured among several musicians and entertainers. The interesting thing is that among the 70 entries, I was the only comedian, and I still made an impression,” Gunter told THE STAR.

The comedian also made appearances at Florida Jerk Fest, Get Well Ministry’s Belly Full of Laughter, along with Christopher ‘Johnny’ Daley, among others.

Gunter also made his acting debut in 2014 with features in Miami-based TV series ‘Miami Top Recruiter’. He has also been featured in a few music videos.

“At present, we are filming a Jamaican movie, Toxic Love, with Nicky Blaze Production.

The movie tells the tale of a bishop/artiste manager, who is charming with the ladies but has a drug addiction, which makes him unpredictable at times,” he said.

Gunter recently participated in One Caribbean International-produced Celebrity Soccer and Cultural Fest, held at Central Broward Regional Park in Florida.

The comedian also performed at Nah Nah Laugh, ‘Old Time Stories’, on Saturday. The event was hosted by Fays Grill at 18710 SW 107 Avenue Miami, Florida.

Best of The Best will celebrate its 10th anniversary next year. Artistes featured on this year’s show included Shabba Ranks, Morgan Heritage, Spice and Lady Saw, among others.
