KANYE WEST SAYS HIS MOTHER GAVE HIM HIS NEW SINGLE

NEW YORK (AP) _ Kanye West has released a new single with unusual collaborators: Paul McCartney, and possibly his late mother. The song “Only One” was recorded early last year when they were brainstorming in a bungalow in Los Angeles. West says he doesn’t remember singing the words, “Hello my only one,” that were on the tape when they played it back. He believes it was the spirit of his mother and mentor, Donda West, speaking to him. West says the name “Kanye” means “only one.” The song is available on iTunes now.
