KAYLA ALLENMontreal native, Kayla Allen, is ready to showcase her talent by debuting her singing career with single “Not Giving Up”. Her first record is slated to release Friday, October 28th 2016 as part of reggae compilation “Scroogie Tropics Riddim” produced by Little Thunder Music which features reggae powerhouses such as: Lukie D, Lutan Fyah, Sizzla, and Turbulence. The Riddim also includes fellow Montreal songstress, Kaisha Lee.

Growing up with a musical family (her father co-owner to one of Montreal’s Jamaican DJ Crews, Little Thunder Sound) it was as though she was destined have a career in music.Kayla’s first stage experiences began during her preteen years, regularly performing with her friends at her high school’s talent shows. It wasn’t until recently where she grew comfortable with performing alone, therefore kick starting the beginning of her professional career as Kayla Allen – The Singer. She cites her father as one of her biggest inspirations, and mentions her family and close friends being her biggest supporters.

“When my dad first made me listen to this riddim, I had no idea I could even create the lyrics that has now become “Not giving up”. He asked if I would be able to write my own lyrics, he encouraged me and told me to try and see what I could come up with… Needless to say I shocked him, much less myself.” Kayla Said.

She continues to say “…Reggae and dancehall music has always been a part of me and the fact that I was put on a riddim with a few highly respected reggae artists is an opportunity I’m more than grateful for.”

“Not Giving Up” has been spreading like rapid-fire since its radio release last week and has already gained radio traction across Montreal, The U.K, and Jamaica. Look out for the young songstress as this is only the beginning, Kayla Allen has much more to deliver throughout the rest of her career.
