LOS ANGELES (AP) _ Ludacris has been doing more acting than recording lately — but he isn’t giving up on music. He was honored recently at the BMI R-and-B/Hip-Hop Awards with the group’s highest honor — the President’s Award. The award is a nod to Ludacris for his career achievement and his global influence on culture and the entertainment industry. Ludacris says he’s “about to get right back to the music.” He says it’s his “first love” and what brought him success. During the ceremony, the broadcast rights organization also recognized the songwriters of the Billboard number-one singles on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs charts over the past year.
