Minister of Tourism, Hon. Edmund Bartlett, will deliver remarks at the opening of the redesigned Marcus Mosiah Garvey Multimedia Museum. The refurbished museum will now feature interactive touch-screen exhibits, face-morphing technology and life-size graphics. It will also include images of ‘Garveyites’ such as Randolph ‘Ranny’ Williams, Frank Gordon, O.D. and Queen Mother Mariamme Samad. The project was funded by the Tourism Enhancement Fund, which provided J$13.6 million, and was designed by a Chicago-based company, Art on the Loose.

Commentary

We continue to honour the work and legacy of Garvey. Good work!

There is no better focus than to record and perpetuate our heritage.

We support this move and will make every effort to attend and support this historic and technologically sound upgrade of our National Heroes’ memory and work.

This job and idea are of immeasurable worth for generations to come and us today.
