NEW EDITION PLAN MINI-SERIES FOR BET

LOS ANGELES (AP) — B-E-T plans to produce a three-night miniseries about New Edition, but there is a prominent omission in the announcement about the project. The co-producers for the show will be Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, Ronnie DeVoe, Johnny Gill and Ralph Tresvant. Bobby Brown is not mentioned at all. The last time all six members played together was last year, and Brown was struggling to keep up with the group. Brown’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, died two weeks ago.
