New Hardcore remix for Kenny Smith’s Strong Like a Lion’ single

KENNY SMITH REMIX

Rising Reggae Vocalist Kenny Smith has been making an impact with three recent single releases; ‘Range Rover’, ‘Fire Brigade’ and Strong Like a Lion’, powered by his label GafJam Records and music distributor Zojack Worldwide.

His “Strong like a Lion” single has been increasing in its success since its summer release and has even been charting in places like Italy and Holland.

With the elevated attention on the single overseas GafJam Records determined that this is perfect timing for a remix for the track and decided on dancehall’s lyrical bad boy Darrio to add his rugged vocals to the project.

This is Kenny Smith’s first collaboration since becoming a recording artiste; he was introduced to Darrio through his manager Craig “Craigy-T” Thompson and believes the remix gives fans a different vibe to the song.

“The remix is different because it has a rougher feel to it. It’s more hardcore in a positive way. Working with Darrio wasn’t difficult. When two great musicians work together, all you can get is just good music and good vibes.” Kenny Smith explained.

The song has already been performed twice locally. First at the “Digicel Rising Stars grand finale and then at “The Jamaica Yellow Pages: Fashion Directory” fashion show for Take Style Out 2015, where the feedback from both audiences was extremely positive.

Darrio, who is no stranger to making hit collaborations, has high praises for the talented young singer as well.

Working with Kenny Smith was good; he is very enthusiastic about the industry and he is as passionate about the craft as I am. In essence it was an easy synergy.Big up to Craigy T and Kenny Smith for the opportunity; he is definitely in good hands.

World LOOK OUT FOR KENNY SMITH!!! Darrio reiterated

There is a music video also in the pipeline for the remix and it will be available for purchase digitally come November 6.

The remix can now be heard on Kenny’s sound cloud account (KennySmithJa.). Kenny will also be performing locally with fellow reggae vocalists D-Medz and Iba Mahr in November and December while preparing for his European Tour in early 2016..
