NEWS FLASH:Internationally Acclaimed Dancehall Recording Artiste Ninjaman & 2 Others, Found Guilty Of Murder

Today Monday, November 20, 2017 at about 4:30 PM local time in Kingston, Jamaica W.I.,
a Jury of 4 men and 3 women retired for three and a half-hours and returned a verdict of guilty as charged.

In 2009 Desmond Balintine o/c Ninjaman and two co accused  were charged with murder after a shooting incident in Olympic Gardens.

Ninjaman was on bail since but had his bail revoked on October 17, 2017 by trial Judge in the Gun Court.

Don Gorgon

Known in the streets as Don Gorgon, Balintine was earlier this year contracted by the National Security Ministry as a motivational speaker in which he addressed cops. Ninjaman is a prolific lyricist.

Jayneel Balintine, his son and  Dennis Clayton co accused were also found guilty of murder in the same matter. Ninjaman was 51.

DPP Spoke

DPP Llewelyn said it was on the basis of “Circumstantial Evidence” and was a difficult case to prosecute.”  It took 17 trial dates to conclude the matter.  Two of the witnesses had to brought from overseas. The Witness protection system had to be employed”. She commended the police for their good work.

Commentary

We are saddened at this development but if you commit the crime you must face the time.

Ninjaman reacted to the verdict by saying “A so it go …”.

Sentencing is set for December 15, 2017.

We will miss his (Ninjaman) colourful stage appearances and fine lyrics.
