Perspective: Regulating The Internet

The information minister and hinted in the Senate that the Broadcasting Commission is thinking of regulating the Internet in Jamaica W.I.

The Press Association of Jamaica is concerned at this new thinking. Jamaica moved up to eight place on the press Freedom index.

We say if it is not broken leave it alone.  We do not want to send the wrong signal to the world.

The internet is supposed to be a free information hiway.

Any abuses are covered under existing liable laws. Leave the internet alone …there is too much regulation.
