Perspective: Seaga Deserves Even More …

There has been much public comment regarding the Holness administration’s decision to honour The Most Honourable Phillip George Seaga by naming the North Coast Highway after him.

Democracy

Thank God we are a democracy and as such freedom of speech is still allowed, is vibrant and respected.  What is not acceptable is for people to make comments lacking of deep thought and by ignoring facts, especially irrefutable historical facts.

Seaga’s Legacy

You are also free to hate the man but do not put him down. He has made a monumental contribution to nation building.

              Resume’

1) Help Draft Jamaica’s Constitution

2) Founded Things Jamaica

3) Redevelopment of our Waterfront

4) Established The Urban

5) Converted Slum to Tivoli Gardens

6) Redevelopment of Ocho Rios

Edward Seaga is a legend

There are few legends in this side of the world. Rt. Hon. Marcus Garvey,  The Rt., Hon. Norman Manley, The Rt. Hon. Dr. Sir. Alexander Bustamante, Dr. The Hon. Usain Bolt, Jimmy Cliff, Merlene Ottey, and Bob Marley to name a few personalities who readily come to mind. In my perspective Hon Edward Seaga, PC is well deserving of getting any accolade for his contribution to national development in Jamaica …. even a highway named after him.  He is more than deserving to get the label of being a legend also. Seaga is a national treasure.  We owe an unpayable debt to Hon.  Edward Phillip George Seaga,  former PM, even deserves more than a highway named after him.

What is your perspective? This is ours.
