Perspective: Too many persons seem intent on only lodging a complaint, but fail to follow through to make a real difference. They are either cowards or just attention seekers.

We call on Mr. Sylvan Reid to come forward and do not make a mockery of our Judicial System.

No Case

In most cases they are apparently reluctant as they sense that they really have a weak or no case to stand up to any real scrutiny. A court of law is supposed to rule on facts, case law and or precedents.

For example let us look at ballots and where the X is placed by the elector. The intention of the elector is what is taken into account in say a Magisterial recount. Case law has accepted a tick or circle around a symbol which represents a political party as the clear intention of the elector.

More than one mark on the ballot, which could render a ballot to be rejected.

4 Days

A four (4) day window after both the initial and final counts are completed for a Magisterial recount to take place.  Either the Parish Judges or the lawyers are either not up to date or have chosen to circumvent the law for reasons which are not very clear.

We find the injunction filed in the St. Ann Parish Court over the Moneague Division strange, especially when time for doing so as long passed.

In conclusion, we are of the view that “Government should be of laws, rather than of men” a line from the Jaycees Creed. (JCI) Junior Chamber International.
