Poetic Perspective

It should be noted that this poetic perspective is in a nutshell a capsule of recent events in Jamaica on the political scene. Enjoy!

       True Leadership

Like a torpedo known to sink many ship …
There is always need for strong leadership …
In the Church there is discipleship …
In business we talk about strong leadership

There is always blackmail and betrayal
This component has proven to be pivotal
In the wake of blackmail …
Leaders do not get frail …

They stand firm and fight
With all their resolve and might
Being wrong or right is not at stake …
It is about appearing to be not half bake …

You must stand up and never capitulate
If you wish to be regarded as first rate …
Weakness may appear to be cute …
But such course, a true leader should refute

On such a path you dare not take
Unless you are a fake …
On weakness you should frown
Even when unease is the head
wearing the crown

As for betrayal …
Such should have no space in your vial ….
How do you treat back stabbers?
Treat them as an army does with deserters …

Ah, ah, ah …
