Police Shake up, Jamaica

Vision has been reliably been informed that Superintendent of Police for Thomas, Jamaica, W.I. Charmaine Shand has been transferred to the Administeation of the Police High Command. Commissioner Dr. Carl Williams has confirmed this staff movement.

St. Thomas has seen a considerable spike in homicides of anout eighty percent. You will recall that two police officers were killed by drive by shooting in late December 2015.

Ke.neth Davis and Craig were killed by criminal elements in St. Thomas. It is not clear if these killings influenced the apparent sudden transfer. We are further reliably advised advised that Ms. Charmaine Shand requested the transfer.
