Religious Focus: Jessie Pringle dead at 93

Jessie Pringle was quite a lady.  A serving of a dish of pork.  Yet peckish at nights is to consume almost a bottle of jam.  Psalm 91 speaks of longevity.” Gone too soon … how does one say …. at 93 gone too soon?

When we come to the boundaries of life … the subconscious takes over at death.  Those who cannot sleep will not enjoy this experience.”

“In the Jewish tradition  …Psalm 4 … I will lie down in sleep for you alone can do that … referred to as a lullaby.  A trusting child of God. He who can sleep well relinquish control because there is One that controls life.  It is the reliability as does evening prayer.  Complain.  “I will lie down in peace as you alone will be able to do so.”

The anticipation of the next.  The flow of life … when we relinquish control … as Anglicans.

“Support us oh Lord. … Our work is done … holy rest and peace …”
Jessie had this experience … Abide with me …” hymn.

“My relationship extended beyond 30 years, long before she became my mother in law.

She enjoyed excellent health …. death came her way.  There is nothing gracious about death.  It is God”s providential order.”

Von Hoffer was able to ponder on his life before he was killed by Hitler.

Those like Jessie who have died ….  have fallen asleep … Paul speaks of the first fruits of the spirit.  Cancer ravaged her body.  “We release her … all who have been baptized … Jessie has entered into rest. I will lay me down in rest.”

Jessie Pringle was 93 and her body was churched at The Church Of The Transfiguration, Meadowbrook, Jamaica, W.I. before a capacity filled congregation including a Communion setting …. Internment was immediately after at the 340 year old St. Andrew Parish Cemetery, Jamaica W.I. Deceased was the mother in law of  Lord Bishop, Rt. Rev. Dr. Howard Gregory of Jamaica & the Cayman Islands.

Light eternal to her at 93. AMEN.
