Wednesday proved that Canada’s own versatile recording artist “Kisco” has a lot to offer and is a talent to look out for the last half of the year. The singjay, Reggae / R&B fused entertainer scored a double feature on Canada’s popular TV station, Much Music, premiering two of his newest video’s which included the new video for his buzzing single “Star Girl”. The single released to ITunes in May, distributed by Zojak Worldwide and features international reggae act “Turbulence”.

Producer, Ozarri of Jabbarii Recordz expresses his gratitude “I am very happy to see my own work reach this far, to reach MuchMusic is a good look for a Jamaican producer and motivates me to work harder.”

“Star Girl” has showed much promise since its release, it has garnered much media attention as well as captured radio DJ’s around the world’s attention. “I think Star Girl has the potential to go much further, the whole team has been really focused on this record and we are very excited about its turn out so far” says Kisco.

Last week it peaked #9 on Canada’s infamous “Rebel Vibez” Top 10 Charts, its popularity growing daily. With its classic dub, reggae sound and catchy lyrics, the single has proved itself to be a hit.

More About Kisco

Andrew Walcott, better known as Canada’s versatile urban recording artist, Kisco, was born and raised in Waterhouse, Jamaica. In 1997 the young Kisco had the opportunity to immigrate to Canada, where he found his second home in Toronto.

His interest in music came about during his high school years, attending St Mary’s Secondary School in Pickering, Ontario. It was in 2010, while still learning the ropes in the music industry, that Kisco released his first single “Rich Dis Year”. The beat combined a perfect mixture of uplifting lyrics, urban drums and electric guitars which helped the artist garner a lot of media attention culminating in his video airing on RogersTV in Toronto. Later in 2010, the success of the single lead him to open for Joe Budden in Kingston, Ontario’s NV Nightclub.

Since then, Kisco has continued to release singles like “Wat A Gwan”, “Luv It When We Sexy” and “Shy Girl” while sharing the stage with established acts such as Kurupt, Ghostface Killah, Peter Jackson, Crooked Fingaz, Demarco, Beenie Man, Popcaan and Mr. Vegas and touring with Jadakiss, Styles P and Sheek Louch.

More recently, the upcoming urban star collaborated with Reggae Star, Turbulence, for his new single “Star Girl”, the video making its debut on Canada’s MuchMusic. This single showcases a different side of this young promising act, yet again demonstrating the artist’s versatility. That being said, the artist remains active in studio recording his first promotional E.P, “My Life, My Destiny”.
