Vybz Kartel murder trial is now in its fourth week.

The dancehall star, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, is currently on trial for the alleged murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams.

He is jointly charged along with Shawn “Storm” Campbell, Kahira Jones, André St John, and Shane Williams.

Yesterday the Deputy Director for immigration services at the Passport, Immigration and Citizenship Agency, Ephieum Allen, testified that no one by the name of Clive Lloyd Williams traveled outside of Jamaica since 2005.

Vybz Kartel’s lead defense attorney, Tom Tavares-Finson, criticized the prosecution in court yesterday for what he calls a slow movement in the trial.

On Monday, former Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Cybercrime Unit head, Patrick Linton, was suppose to wrap up his testimony but lead prosecutor Jeremy Taylor told the court that he had a personal emergency to attend to.

But according to Tavares-Finson, the case is moving too slow and other persons involved in the trial also has other obligations especially with the Christmas holiday coming up.

Justice Lennox Campbell sided with the defense saying things are moving too slow.

The prosecution will call another witness to the stand today, day 17 of the trial.

Authorities say Williams was beaten to death at a house in Havendale by the accused men over a missing firearm.

Williams’ body has not been found.

The handwriting analysis results are ready and the defense will be calling back the star witness Lamar Chow to the stand.

The witness allegedly wrote a letter to Public Defender Earl Witter saying he does not want to testify in the trial and is being forced by police.
