Weekends of the world, 15 years of discoveries

MONTREAL, July 3 2019 / CNW Telbec / – The 15th edition of the Week-ends du monde, presented by Loto-Québec, is set up for the first time at Espace 67 in Parc Jean-Drapeau, on the weekends of 6-7 and 13 -July 14th. This free event, well established in the Montreal landscape, brings together, in a festive atmosphere, many communities to promote the exchange and sharing of cultures.

A rich and diverse cultural program

 

This must-see summer event in Montreal will host 12 festivals, including the Cuban Festival and Triniday, Montreal in Harmony – which are making their comeback this year. During the four days of the event, visitors will be invited to travel from one scene to another for a unique world tour, where music, dance and culinary discoveries are in the spotlight.

Free activities for everyone

Several partners will be on site to bring a ton of unique experiences to visitors. Festival-goers will be able to participate, among other things, in percussion, dance and artistic creation workshops. Several spaces will also be inhabited by our various partners such as: Parks Canada, the Montreal Impact Soccer School and TV5 – which will offer free activities to entertain young and old. 

Flavors to discover

Thanks to the Place des Saveurs, each cultural festival will discover typical dishes of their country. It will be an opportunity to go around the world in a few mouthfuls thanks to the Salvadorian pupusas, the Mediterranean grills, and the unique flavors of Mexico. This 15 th edition will confirm also the Weekend World is the perfect place for a gourmet experience exceptional synonymous with discoveries about the cultures here and elsewhere.
