West Indies makes careful 61 0 on 1st day of 2nd test vs Bangladesh

CASTRIES, St. Lucia _ Openers Leon Johnson and Kraigg Brathwaite led a careful West Indies to 61-0 at lunch on the opening day of the second test against Bangladesh on Saturday at the Beausejour Stadium.

The 27-year-old Johnson is 27 not out on his debut while Brathwaite, who struck a double century in the first test victory, was unbeaten on 20.

Bangladesh won the toss and sent in the West Indies, which is playing its 500th test match.

The pace bowling trio of Al-Amin Hossain, Shafiul Islam and Robiul Islam were generally wayward and failed to trouble the Caribbean pair.

Johnson, who became the 300th player to represent the West Indies in tests, got his cap from West Indies great Clive Lloyd.
