Contaminated Petrol damaged fuel injectors … 17 Service Stations to be closed … Paulwell
A media investigation has not unearthed any closed stations. Energy Minister Phillip Paulwell announced that he was ordering certain service stations identified as distributing bad gas would be closed as of midnight “December 29, 2015.
Paulwell was not available for comment …as a vox pox conducted was bitterly critical of the Minister ‘s decision not to publicly name the offending stations. Minister Paulwell is claiming legal correctness has caused him to avoid naming stations.

The public has frowned on what they describe as a cover up and a lack of transparency. Paulwell is an attorney at law and leader of government business in the House of Representatives.
Vehicle engines have been damaged due to bad/contaminated petrol. Paulwell indicated that consumers will not be compensated.
Opposition Spokesman on Energy Robert Montague called on the Government to compensate the consumers for losses incurred and to be transparent by releasing the names of offending stations who dispensed contaminated
gas.
Government is an investor in Petrojam, a local refinery.
