With a long list of performances on her 2015 touring itinerary, dancehall artiste Spice has yet another reason to celebrate this year, as her Notice Records-produced single, ‘So Mi Like It’, has crossed the 20 million mark on her YouTube Vevo channel.

The artiste, who is also a multi nominee in the STAR‘s People’s Choice awards, has set a personal record on social media with YouTube views, surpassing the popularity of Rompin’ Shop, her collaboration with deejay Vybz Kartel.

Her follow-up single to So Mi Like It titled Conjugal Visit, has so far raked in more than seven million Vevo views.

Spice made the announcement on her personal Instagram and Facebook pages, respectively.

“Yes, a so mi like it. Thanks for watching and sharing. 20 million views on my VEVO channel. To all my Fans thank youuuuu. Subscribe Now @spiceofficialVevo,” she posted.

Spice recently released music videos for dance songs Bend Ova and Back Bend, both songs have collectively received over one million views on YouTube.com.

Despite millions of views on YouTube, So Mi Like It is yet to chart on the Billboard Hot 100, unlike Rompin’ Shop. However, all is not lost for the record, as Omi’s Cheerleader record only recently entered the Billboard charts at number 65, and that effort was originally released in 2012 by Oufah Records.

Artistes who own their own YouTube Vevo channels like Spice are allowed to earn a percentage of profit from their video views, as Vevo shares advertising revenue through its partnership with Google.

Several local artistes, including Bounty Killer, Demarco and Kalado among others, have launched Vevo accounts.
