AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS ANNOUNCE NOMINEES

NEW YORK (AP) _ You can vote for who makes the short list for the big award at the American Music Awards, then you can vote for the winner. Ten acts are nominated for artist of the year, and the A-M-A’s want fans to narrow that list to five. The nominees are Iggy Azalea, John Legend, Katy Perry, Pharrell (fah-REL’) Williams, Lorde (LORD), Imagine Dragons, Luke Bryan, Beyonce‘, Eminem and One Direction. Fan votes through November 13 will determine the top 5. The public can vote on all the awards at AMAVote-dot-com or through Twitter. Azalea leads the nominations with six. Legend, Perry and Williams have five each. The A-M-A’s will be November 23 in Los Angeles and shown on A-B-C.
