Andrew Holness Collects NIDS Card, Marks Start of Phased Rollout
Kingston, Jamaica – Prime Minister Andrew Holness announced that he has received his National Identification System (NIDS) card, signaling the beginning of the phased rollout of the long-anticipated program.
In a social media post shared on November 15, 2024, the Prime Minister revealed that the rollout started with individuals who participated in the pilot programme. He noted that soon, all Jamaicans would have the opportunity to obtain their NIDS cards as the country takes a significant step toward improving efficiency and convenience in accessing government services.
