Andrew Holness Pays Tribute to Lady Gladys Bustamante on International Women’s Day

Kingston, Jamaica  – Prime Minister Andrew Holness has paid tribute to the late Honourable Lady Gladys Bustamante, OJ, in recognition of her birthday, which coincides with International Women’s Day. Lady Bustamante, affectionately known as “Lady B,” is remembered as a tireless advocate for the rights of Jamaican workers and women.

In a statement, Holness highlighted her contributions to trade unionism, education, and social welfare, noting that she traveled across Jamaica, listening to the struggles of the people and working to advance their rights.
