Andrew Holness Ushers in 2025 with Message of Hope and Optimism

Kingston, Jamaica — Prime Minister Andrew Holness rang in the new year with a heartfelt message of encouragement and positivity for Jamaicans at home and abroad. Taking to social media on New Year’s Day, Holness reflected on the vibrant atmosphere of the Urban Development Corporation (UDC) Fireworks Festival, which brought thousands together in celebration on the Kingston Waterfront.

The Prime Minister described the event as a symbol of “good vibes and good positive energy,” setting a hopeful tone for the year ahead. In his post, he urged Jamaicans to seize the opportunities that 2025 offers, realize their potential, and boldly step into the future.

“To all Jamaicans, at home and abroad, may 2025 be the beginning of great things for you and your loved ones,” Holness wrote, extending his New Year’s greetings to the nation.

The UDC Fireworks Festival, a long-standing tradition, featured dazzling pyrotechnic displays, live performances, and cultural showcases, drawing families and visitors to the waterfront to celebrate the dawn of a new year. The event underscored the resilience and unity of Jamaicans, even amid challenges.
