Asafa Powell’s Doping Case
The hearing is being held at the Jamaica Conference Centre in Kingston.
Powell tested for the banned stimulant oxilofrine at his national trials last June, amongst four other Jamaican athletes, and will be sentenced this week. He faces a four-year ban, although a two-year or six-month sentence is more likely.
Powell blamed his physical trainer, Canadian Chris Xuereb, claiming he gave him a brand of nutritional supplements.
