Nostalgia-themed event celebrates the sounds of the 1990s and 2000s

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Dancehall fans are preparing for a trip down memory lane as Joyride returns to Kingston on Saturday, July 11, 2026, with a night dedicated to the music, culture and energy of the 1990s and early 2000s.

Sponsored by Wray & Nephew, the event will take place at Mas Camp, with gates opening at 9 p.m.

This year’s staging carries the theme “Vibes of the 90s to 2000s,” promising an evening focused on some of the most influential eras in Jamaican music.

Baby Cham Leads the Celebration

Headlining the event is veteran dancehall star Baby Cham, whose catalogue helped define the sound of dancehall during the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Known for hits that became staples in clubs, parties and radio playlists across Jamaica and the diaspora, Baby Cham remains one of dancehall’s most recognizable voices.

His appearance at Joyride is expected to resonate with fans who grew up during one of the genre’s most celebrated periods.

A Tribute to a Golden Era

The event’s focus on the 1990s and 2000s reflects a growing demand for experiences that celebrate the music and culture that shaped a generation of reggae and dancehall fans.

During that period, Jamaican music expanded its global influence, producing artists, rhythms and songs that continue to inspire audiences around the world.

Joyride aims to recreate that atmosphere through a combination of classic sounds, nostalgia and live entertainment.

Bringing Back the Memories

For many attendees, the event offers an opportunity to revisit the soundtrack of their youth while introducing younger audiences to the music that helped build modern dancehall culture.

With Baby Cham leading the lineup, organizers are positioning Joyride as a celebration of timeless hits, unforgettable memories and Jamaica’s enduring musical legacy.

The event takes place Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Mas Camp in Kingston, Jamaica, with gates opening at 9 p.m.
