December 16, 2020 | By Hopeton O’Connor-Dennie |

“I will be President for all Americans”

Joe Biden, President-Elect of the USA distances himself from rejected Trump.  Sets example as unifier-in-chief.  Setting the stage with Kamala Harris, VP-Elect to be a force for good. We cannot wait.

We bring you excepts of this address .. please note that this is not a verbatim account. The President-Elect said inter alia:

“The Electoral College vote shows the strength and integrity of our Electoral system. All the recounts were upheld … some changed in favour of us. Seventeen (17) Republican attorney generals signed on with Trump … that went to the Supreme Court. They were pressured and threatened yet the courts refused to dishonour the democratic system. President Trump was allowed to take his case to the Supreme Court. The people’s vote was respected.”

Biden Continued …

“His own Cyber Security Chief said it was the most secure election vote. This battle was for the soul of our people. Time to unite, to heal. I will be the president for all Americans. We need to lower the temperture. We need to stand together. We have always set the example for peaceful transfer of power.  We have faced difficult times in our history. Quoting from  St. Francis Assisi Biden concluded: “For where there is dispair hope .. “

Electoral College

The College confirmed that Biden got 306 Electoral College votes to Trump’s 232.  There were increased vote count in Pennsylvania, Georgia etc.  It was a resounding victory for Biden.  The strength of the Electoral system was tested and prevailed.”

Commentary

We were very pleased with content and quality of Biden’s address. It showed statemantship and fine eloquence. We congratulate him for the timing of the address by the President-Elect Joseph Biden of the United States Of America. It was a rallying address and a taste of what to come. It contained no cussing and no animosity. His style was unifying and of the highest quality. Congratulations again!

We wish him and his running mate Kamala Harris all the success. We already feel a fresh breeze getting ready to blow through Pennsylvania Avenue, address of the White House.  It will be the dawning of a brand new day come January 21, 2021.  That day cannot come too soon as we are dying to see the back of the dejected one term President Donald J. Trump who devalued the office of the presidency.

Hopeton O’Connor-Dennie is a veteran journalist who listened to the address and filed this report. He has an international exposure.
