Kingston, Jamaica – Jamaican reggae artist Blacspade, also known as Rasta Blacspade, is set to release his highly anticipated debut EP, I Love You, on November 27, 2024. Based in the United States, Blacspade has been making waves in the reggae scene since becoming a finalist in the 2023 International Reggae and Music Awards (I.R.A.M.A.) competition.
Since that milestone, Blacspade has dedicated himself to creating music that not only resonates with audiences but also delivers meaningful messages aimed at uplifting and informing listeners. His upcoming seven-track EP is a testament to this commitment. Produced by the renowned Jamaican music creative Dub Chemist, I Love You promises to address universal themes that touch the lives of families around the world.
Dub Chemist, known for his impactful contributions to reggae music, describes the project as transformative. “This is an EP for everyone, because it speaks to issues that affect families across the world. It (I Love You) is redirecting our attitudes, which are fundamental to the upliftment of the entire human race. If each of us said, I love you, to the creator of this world and to everyone, there would be more peace and not pieces to fix in our daily lives,” he explained.
As a prelude to the release, Blacspade has already shared three singles in collaboration with Dub Chemist. The tracks—”Jah Jah Live,” featured on the Satta Masagana Riddim; “Love Over All Things,” presented on the Royal Plus Riddim; and his latest, “Rastafari Is The Saviour”—have been well-received and showcase the depth of his artistry.
