Leader of the Concerned Citizens Movement, CCM in St Kitts and Nevis Mark Brantley is taking issue with the projected cost of a prison which is estimated to cost 2.5 billion EC dollars.

Not only is Mr Brantley taking issue with the cost but with the timing of the project.

He said in the dying days of the 3-member government of Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris, he is looking to launch the prison project at a cost that far exceeds what was voted on by the Cabinet of which Mr Brantley was apart months ago.

The CCM leader further informed that the same prison was budgeted last year to cost 88 million EC dollars and questions how the figures have moved to 2.5 billion EC dollars in the hands of Chinese developers.
