Buju Banton Is 47 Today

July 15, 2020 | By Hopeton O’Connor-Dennie |

International reggae superstar Buju Banton registered as Mark Myrie is celebrating his earth strong today. Buju has just released a new album. His single “Memories” has been doing well on the Billboard chart.

Freedom

Since Banton has been released from a US prison for a spurious drug related charge he has been doing well. Buju was targeted and trapped for cocaine possession. The Justice system in America was weighed in the balance and found wanting. To have conspired with persons unknown for reasons better known to them was sleazy, scandalous, shameful and slack. It was based on lyrics of a song that Buju repeatedly apologized for. Yet he was hunted like a wild animal and caged. Buju has used his freedom well.

Grange

Minister of Entertainment, Sport and Culture wished the Jamaican Superstar a Happy Earthstrong, via twitter on behalf of the Jamaican Government and Jamaican people.

We at Vision Newspaper wish Buju Banton long life and continued success as he celebrates his 47TH birthday.

Memories don’t live as people do.
