What Is Bunting’s Position On Crime …?

Peter Bunting

This morning there was a news item that Peter Bunting is berating the attempt by the FLA as it relates to the report that a gun making machine was found in Mandeville, Manchester where he is MP. Public safety should be Bunting’s serious concern. Why not ?

Perception

There is the perception that Bunting is not prepared to work with the government as it relates to crime.  As National Security Minister Peter Bunting refused to cooperate with the then PM, Bruce Golding JLP government when he was asked to extend the 2010 State of Emergency then in place.  There needs to be bipartisan support for initiatives to do with crime. Bunting is fully prepared to criticize but not cooperate especially on crime.

FLA

Why would he criticize the Firearm Licensing Authority (FLA) at a crucial time as this when we are trying to get a handle on crime? Shane Dalling is raking in millions of dollars as he is vigilant on enforcement. The recent gun non renewal of licence amnesty was a resounding success.

Recent revelation that police officers are not renewing their private firearms is scandalous and a clear violation of the law they are sworn to uphold.  Dalling has exposed this and other atrocities. Good job, Sir.

We note Bunting’s son Brent is on a wounding charge which is going to mediation. This, if successful, will save him and accused  Blaxx, both from having criminal records.  This is no time for Bunting to be obstructive.

MP, Peter Bunting is berating Dalling because of bad mindedness. Dalling is cleaning up the mess he left behind. It hurts him (Bunting) big time.  Also Dalling is perceived as a JLP man. Well, if so,  that is not a crime. Dalling is doing a superb job. Give the man some

We hope Peter Bunting will put country before his (PNP) party for a change. Crime knows no colour.
