The Caribbean Cup Tennis Series Has Officially Launched!

Jamaican born Karl Hale- the Rogers Cup Tournament Director- teamed up with over 150 people on Feb 8th in Toronto, Canada to launch the Caribbean Cup Tennis Series. The CCTS Circuit is comprised of 6 masters tournaments in Anguilla, Antigua, Barbados, Cayman, Jamaica, St. Vincent as well as an end of the year Championship Event in Curacao. The launch marked an extraordinary evening that raised over $10,000 for Hale’s Charity, the Helping Hands Jamaica Foundation.

A few celebrities were in attendance including former world Kick Boxing Champion Joe Valtellini, former squash world #1 and world champion Jonathon Power, and Dwight Drummond from CBC. The Honorable Fitzroy Huggins, Consulate General of the St. Vincent and Grenadines, made a speech and welcomed SVG as the newest event in the series.

The CCTS Circuit features junior and adult events with players from Canada and around the world, and includes exhibitions that have featured former world #1 Jim Courier, Wimbledon Champion Marion Bartoli, and many others. Proceeds from each tournament go to various local charities, including the Helping Hands Jamaica Foundation which recently built a school with the help of Serena Williams. www.caribbeancuptennis.com
