Representatives from 10 Latin American and Caribbean countries, (LACs) are participating in an international technical mission, August 29 to September 2, in an international technical mission organized by the trilateral south-south cooperation project Consolidation of School Feeding Programmes in LAC.
The objective of the mission is to promote the exchange of experiences and good practices that support capacity-building in order to strengthen the public policy on school feeding in the region.
Participating in the mission will include government representatives who work in the area of school feeding in several countries including members of the Caribbean Community, (CARICOM) and the University of the West Indies.
The exchange of experiences have been supported over the past 13 years and has contributed significantly to the consolidation and strengthening of school feeding programmes throughout the Latin American and Caribbean region.
The school feeding project is part of the actions of the Brazil FAO International Co-operation Programme.
