Chris Gayle Hosts Star-Studded “40 Shades of Gayle 5.0” Event in Jamaica
Kingston, Jamaica – Pearly Beach in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, came alive for Chris Gayle’s highly anticipated “40 Shades of Gayle 5.0” event, celebrating the cricket legend’s 45th birthday. The party, which has grown since its inception at Gayle’s Kingston mansion, drew a vibrant crowd of local and international celebrities.
Held against the backdrop of the Caribbean Sea, the event kicked off just before sunset, creating a picturesque scene of white sands and clear blue waters. Partygoers enjoyed an all-inclusive experience, with a steady flow of food and drinks available until 3 a.m.
Gayle made his way around the venue, greeting guests both on the sand and in the luxury cabanas. The entertainment lineup featured a diverse mix of soca, dancehall, afrobeats, and reggae, with renowned DJs Johnny Kool of ZipFM, Supa Hype from Sun City Radio, and DJ Kurt Riley keeping the energy high. IrieFM provided live coverage, broadcasting the excitement on air.
Expressing his gratitude, Gayle thanked the attendees for their support, including his 94-year-old father, who was a special guest at the event. He also acknowledged his marketing team, Camar Flava, Contractor Music Marketing, and his personal assistant Chantal, as well as his dedicated ground crew, for making the celebration a success.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to several charitable causes, including the basic school Gayle attended, which suffered significant damage from Hurricane Beryl.
Among the notable celebrities in attendance were Olympic legends Usain Bolt and Yohan Blake, dancehall star Masicka, former sprinter Michael Frater, reggae icon Beenie Man, and Indian actress Prachi Tehlan. The dress code for the night embraced a retro ’70s theme, adding to the party’s flair.
Gayle’s 40 Shades of Gayle has evolved into one of the most exclusive and talked-about events on Jamaica’s social calendar, and this year’s edition was no exception, drawing a mix of sport, music, and entertainment stars to celebrate with the “Universe Boss.”
