Cincinnati, Iowa, UAB, Wyoming to play in inaugural Cayman Islands Classic
GEORGE TOWN, Cayman Islands(AP) _ Cincinnati, Iowa, UAB and Wyoming _ all of whom played in last season’s NCAA Tournament _ comprise half the field for the inaugural Cayman Islands Classic.
The rest of the field for the event, to be played in November 2017, will be released in the near future.
Caymax Sports Ltd., which will run the tournament in conjunction with Global Sports Management, made the announcement Wednesday.
Located in the western Caribbean Sea, the Cayman Islands comprise the islands of Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac and Little Cayman, all located south of Cuba and northwest of Jamaica.
