Congrats Barbados!

The tiny Caribbean Island of called Barbados of less than 400,000 people and or probably the size of Portmore in Jamaica who is slated to be the 15 parish in Jamaica soon, has just celebrated their National birthday.

Hartley Dottin, as a defence force operative had the honour of hoisting the New Barbados flag enabling this ambitious Caribbean Island to unshackle itself from their Colonial past.  Dottin still beams with pride at this historic role he played in the scheme of things. He is well known to me. A great human being.

Lord Horatio Nelson

The former Lord Admiral of The British Empire was highly decorated in his hay day.  Statues were erected of him all over British former colonies. Barbados recently took down his statue in an official ceremony.

BLM

The Black Lives Matter movement (BLM) is spreading like wildfire across the world. Biden and Harris will make a world of a difference when sworn in on January 20, 2021 as the 46th president of the USA. They have begun to bury the Trump strange plan and his nastiness. He seem to have cared little about people of colour.  Some were fooled. What a pity!

All Lives Matter

Under a Biden/Harris presidency all lives will matter as was the case under Obama/Biden.  Trump was all about his family, dubious friends and many alleged crooks who surrounded him. He is now busy pardoning them for their wrongs and or criminal conduct before he demits office in January. Shameful indeed!  What a character he is.  Was this Gang style conduct not befitting of such a high office?

Immigration

DACA will be restored. Those undocumented will be shown a clear path to legal status in the USA. Many of these persons are front line workers in the fight against COVID 19. They helped to save many lives. They need to be respected and appreciated for their invaluable contribution to national development. Instead under Trump they were hunted and deported.  Some separated from their children and families torn apart.

We wish Barbados well and the United States Of America at a cross road to restoration of dignity and a better future.
