COPS IN CUSTODY ON MURDER CHARGES DENIED BAIL AGAIN

March 10, 2016 – Two police officers who were charged with multiple murders emanating from INDECOM’s investigation into the conduct of police officers in Clarendon applied for bail on March 8 and 9, 2016 and were denied.

Mrs. Valerie Neita Robertson, attorney representing Detective Kevin Adams; and Norman Godfrey and Carlton Collman, both of whom represent Constable Collis Brown, applied for bail on their behalf in the Supreme Court and both were denied.

Trial is set for Det. Corp. Adams for the fatal shooting of Anthony Trought on September 19, 2016.

Plea and case management for Cons. Brown’s matters is set for April 1, 2016.

March 31, 2014 – The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) continues its investigations into the conduct of police officers in Area 3 and wishes to advise the public of TWO developments relating to additional arrests and incidents initially reported as homicides.
ADDITIONAL ARRESTS
In relation to this investigation, three (3) police officers have been arrested and charged with murder. This brings the total number of police officers arrested and charged so far in relation to this investigation to four (4).
The four police officers that have been arrested and charged are:
1. Constable Collis ‘Chuckie’ Brown – Murder, Conspiracy to Murder, Wounding with Intent – Charged on January 17 and additional charges laid on March 12, 2014.
2. Constable Carl Bucknor – Murder
3. Constable Jerome Whyte – Murder
4. Det. Corporal Kevin Adams – Murder
