Dancehall recording artiste Sydney Stewart, known by his stage name Ethiopian, has reemerged with new material on a brand new Reggae project produced by Digital One Productions. The rhythm project called Reggae Genesis, features a plethora of known and new artistes and is set for release later this month.

The single by Ethiopian on Reggae Genesis is called Champion and is a love ballad that speaks to feelings a man has for a special female who has a powerful impact of the his life. Motivated by true life love experiences, not only for Ethiopian himself but general lasting relationships that he has seen throughout the years.

As long as you are alive you have to love, regardless of other powers that exist, I believe love is what has kept the world spinning.  Love could be brand new love or love after fifty years of marriage, because everyone has experienced or should experience some form of love; that will make them even more connected to the song itself.’ Ethiopian shared

Ethiopian, the New York and Jamaican based talent, emerged more than a decade ago as a dancehall deejay with noteworthy material including It Ain’t EasyCassanova Love with Mr. Handsome and Cecile and Hands High with Zumjay. His re-emergence after a notable hiatus on a strictly Reggae project was inspired by the beat itself and the team who are longtime friends with the artiste.

We thought he would be a great fit for the Reggae Genesis Riddim especially since we believe the lineup is an all-star cast of artistes and it’s a great opportunity to re-introduce yourself amongst this diverse and talented set of songs. We also believe Ethiopian delivered an awesome song on the riddim that Reggae lovers will appreciate,” Richard Roache, CEO of Digital One Productions shared

The Reggae Genesis project also features known Reggae stars like Bryan Art, Courtney Melody, Pressure, Anthony B, Leroy Sibbles, Chuck Fenda, Luciano and Richie Spice along with emerging artistes; Prince Talib, Young Garvey, Collinjah and Krysie.

Produced by Digital One Production with assistance from Famz House Records, Riff Raff, Fire Wayne from Echo One Sound, Kevin Hylton, and Wesley Barnett, Reggae Genesis is a heavy weight Reggae project that should give current fans of each artiste brand new quality material as well as creating new fans for newer talent on the project.

Ethiopian is looking forward to recording visuals for the Champion single in a matter of weeks. Reggae Genesis will be released officially on February 25 and is distributed by OneRpm.
