Decrease in Covid-19 Numbers During Weekend Lock Down

Jamaica’s Weekend Lockdown brought forth a decrease in numbers.
Prime Minister Andrew Holness initiated the first official weekend lockdown on March 27th, with hopes of controlling the spread of the Covid-19 virus to the wider Jamaican popualtion. Despite the Nation’s many grieviances with the PM’s strict initative almost 3 months later, the numbers have dropped significantly. Though the country is not in the clear just yet, once these numbers continue to decrease consistently the country will see brighter days. It is reported that 60 new Covid-19 cases have been added to the country’s statistics and a total of 5 COVID-19 deaths, putting the recoveries at 134 persons. The new test samples at present is 115o samples. Jamaica’s active cases now stand at 22,683 in the country.
